RSA Awards

“Having a big picture was the best way to address the key questions of our stakeholders in a way that would quickly engage their interest. The ability to present the big picture in a number of different formats was a huge asset to us.”

- Ezri Carlebach, Head of Marketing and Communications

Brief:

The RSA has a unique remit and a wide variety of projects, however, most people only understand a small fraction of what the RSA has achieved and what it is capable of. This can limit the degree for which people get involved. As the RSA is a charitable organisation it requires support in many ways from financial through to the proposal of ideas.

Part of raising awareness of the functions of the RSA was to bring together the presentation of all of the awards the RSA gives and have an Awards Night. The 2006 RSA Awards was a first for the RSA and it was important that everyone understood not only the growth of the RSA’s remit and the function of the Awards Night, but also that they were inspired to action by seeing the example of the Awards winners.

Cognac Solution:

Cognac created a big picture that highlighted the achievements of the award winners and told the full RSA story as it is today.

Once the big picture message had been created we turned the message into a Flash presentation that was played on plasma screens around the venue at the Awards Night. Twenty-three feet high banners were also produced to highlight certain areas of the big picture.

To continue the impact we created an online version and made the Flash available online.

Results:

“The result was fantastic; people got it quickly and were taken with the way the information was presented. Having the big picture in different formats contributed greatly to the overall atmosphere and experience of the night.”

- Ezri Carlebach, Head of Marketing and Communications
